ANC had it all for thirty years and failed dismal. I am not even sure if ANC cares about the people on the ground. Is all about themselves. We have experienced that. How can we trust them.

Are the leaders of these parties capable to be ministers.Some of them are brand new people who were leading to start new parties Is there a criteria to choose these ministers .I dont think this will strengthen the new government at all.

Before you come up with all the clever concepts, let us ask the real question: Did Van Riebeeck come with the land when his ship crashed in the Cape of Good Hope? Where did he suddenly get the land to own and pass on to his descendants? There were no clever concepts for dispossession, why should there be clever concepts or mechanisms to reclaim what was stolen? Why must the government buy back the land that was stolen? Let us stop being 'clever blacks' and apologetic. The current constitution is skewed to the disadvantage of the rightful owners. There were no special conditions nor money involved during the land heist.

When the coalition was only ANC/DA, it was reasonable to give the DA, representing just over a third of the votes given to them and the ANC combined, 11 of the 30 ministerial posts. With a few more small parties on board, the DA and ANC both represent smaller percentages of the GNU, and should both get a bit less.

DA have nearly all the leverage here. "Power points" must be assigned to each ministry. Not all ministries are created equal. This is important. DA must get at least one third of the power available (the number of ministries is actually irrelevant... 4 good ministries= 12 mickey-mouse ministries). They must also get speaker and VP positions. DA should dig its heels in, even if it takes all year.

They want Department of Transport to perpetuate the dominance of the cape construction mafia. Namely, RoadMac Surfacing (Raubex: JSE), Haw & Inglis Civil Engineering, Martin & East, Terra Strata Construction, WBHO, RoadSpan Surfacing (part of H&I), the list goes on and on. These companies dominate almost 90% of Sanral tenders in all regions as classified by Sanral. Further more, by looking at the previous court challenge of the preferential procurement by Haw & Inglis, supported by almost all the above-mentioned construction companies, there’s a strong fight back against BEE in roads & transport ministry. Keep in mind, that no black construction company specialises in either asphalt manufacturing or construction of piles which are the backbone of any general building construction project.

How hard can this be take the percentage of votes that each party got and divide the ministers positions according to that. If there a three key misisters post in the cabinet the ANC takes one and the DA the other one and then take the other parties and make them the Deputy. Say if the minster of finance is a ANC member then the Deputy is then from the DA or other smaller party. Damn these people want their cake and eat it too. That politics for you if you give a minister a task and he has ten hours to do so, he wil use nine hours to explain what he is going to do and the other one hour to explain why he didn't do the job. Damn these parties and their eggos the GNU was formed to work for the interrest of the people but now you see how greedy they are.The people are not interrested in who does what all they care about is that the person is the right person and that he/she can do the job and is not corrupt that is what we voted for. The ANC should focus on the next election so that they don't get 20% of the vote in 2026. Damn these politicians.

This is normal negotiation methods. We not talking a second hand car here, but a complex countries future. Demands are big initially ( In most big negotiations), but are honed and modified as the negotiations progress. Let it play out and see what they come up with. Then judge the result. The media are speculating and are causing all the negative hype.
